Darina Medunova, Instructor

I have been devoted to physical fitness and health since I was five years old when I began training as a ballet and contemporary dancer which I continued through my teenage years at Duncan Centre Conservatoire in Prague, Czech Republic, where I was also born and raised.

In 2013, I moved to San Francisco, California, and with continuing interest in learning about the human body, I began my studies in Kinesiology at San Francisco State University with plans to become a Chiropractor. During my studies, I was introduced to Pilates that helped me to correct my postural imbalances and back pain which I developed from hours of dancing. The practice of Pilates completely realigned my body and I started to feel stronger and more alive than ever.

After discovering these benefits, I decided to pursue a comprehensive Pilates teacher certification at BASI (Body Art Science International) under Rael Isacowitz and help others through fun, effective, challenging and quality movement sessions to improve their postural alignment, strength, flexibility and overall health to fully enjoy sports and daily activities pain-free.
